Waterblommetjies

I absolutely love, Waterblommetjie Stew. I made it for lunch on Sunday and this particular batch had the most amazing colours & textures... needless to say I had to turn the pot down and first take the picutres!

Jasper

My mom's cat, Jasper, absolutely has to be the center of attention at all times. I caught him sitting in the kitchen washing himself, with light reflecting from the tiles onto his face and I indulged him with a photoshoot!

True Love

I recently came upon this quote and I was truly touched by it - I'd like to share it with all of you... “True love is when you don’t want to go to sleep, because reality is so much better than your dreams!”

Eric & Christelle

My baby-sister got married this weekend! It’s still hard to believe that she’s Mrs. Baker... Christelle is a “jeans & t-shirt” girl in the strict sense of the word. I can still remember when she was little, she always cried blue murder when we forced her into a dress for a birthday party or church. So seeing her in her beautiful white dress brought a tear to my eye...

Eric, was his handsome self and I’m very fond of him, to use a real cliche, I’ve not lost a sister but gained a brother. Both my brother’s-in-law are like the brothers I never had. And I love them dearly...

Henk & Ilze-Marié

Ilze-Marié used to be in the same hostel as my baby-sister when they studied at Stellenbosch. I only met Henk a week before the wedding... and in their relationship it’s definitely a fact of “opposites attract”. Ilze-Marié’s like a little rubber ball, always joking and laughing and Henk’s always watching her with a quiet, loving smile.

Vintage, Shabby & Chic...

I’m friends with Annemarie, from the Rose Room in Somerset West, and she asked me to take photos at a Birthday Party held @ Vergenoegd. The two ladies from the Rose Room are incredibly talented, and they set the tables in a Vintage, Shabby Chic way - with old utensils, little Flower Atriums, lace and ribbons. They’re very creative and will make any occasion special...
